P1/X1 SteinWipe Motion Control Core Releases

Every SteinWipe Motion Control (SWMC) release, organized by core family. A core family is a specific generation of SWMC defined by how users configure it. When the configuration mechanism changes at a fundamental level, that marks the birth of a new core family. Every release within a core family shares the same core name and the same configuration approach.

Three core families are currently shipping. Core 0 (Feb.15.2025) uses in-code conditional toggles; users edit {if true/false} blocks directly in the gcode to enable features. Core 1 (Apr.28.2025) introduces SteinSwitch Definitions (SSDs); users enable features by adding keywords to printer notes, no gcode editing required. SWMC Pro (Apr.28.2026) introduces SteinWipe User Definitions (SWUDs) alongside the existing SSD system; SWUDs are numeric and string values assigned to global variables at the top of Start gcode for per-plate offsets, motion tuning, and ProTab integration.

Alongside the main cores, SWMC Lite (SWMCL) breakouts ship as single-feature standalone presets. SWMCL releases pull one specific piece of SWMC functionality and ship it without requiring a full machine preset. The SWMCL Pause Preset (Apr.1.2025) was the first breakout; the SWMCL Chute Tapping Preset (May.17.2026) is the second.

Each release in this collection is targeted to a specific slicer-and-printer combination. Use the filename prefix to identify the release; BBS for Bambu Studio, ORCA for Orca Slicer, X1 for the X1C, P1 for the P1 Series. Every release ships with a dedicated user manual covering install, configuration, and the SSDs and SWUDs available in that specific release.
